Demise
Death, end of existence
I pushed snowball off a cliff, leading to his demise.
Deleterious
Harmful, dangerous, destructive.
Ex: Acid is deleterious to ones health.
Despondent
Feeling downcast or disheartened.
Alex was feeling very despondent after he had lost his baseball game.
Debased
Lose of character, quality, or value.
Ray as an individual was very unique, but after he was cloned 4 million times he was debased.
Exonerate
Justified as free or innocent.
The defendant was exonerated because the evidence was found as inconclusive.
Exorbitant
Unreasonably expensive, or out of orbit.
Colleges are now exorbitant due to the costs of books, living quarters, and professors.
Reciprocate
To give or take mutually, to return in kind or degree.
My love for my girlfriend wasn’t reciprocated because I found out she was cheating on me.
Resilient
Able to bounce back from hardship.
Steve jobs is resilient because after he was removed from apple he created two new powerful companies.
Resurgence
Rising again
After the blacks had been given rights, the white people started a resurgence. Soon blacks were slaves again
Revitalize
To restore vitality and life.
I revitalized the dying plant by giving it water and sunlight.
Uncouth
Displaying manners that are rude, crude, or boorish.
Unfettered
Free from restraint, free&open
Wild animals are unfettered.
Uncorroborated
Unsupported by other evidence,
The little boy claimed he didn’t eat the cookie, but he was uncorroborated by actual evidence. There were crumbs all over his face.
Unnerved
Filled with apprehension,
I was so confident when I walked into class, but was unnerved at the sight of my bully. He was in my class.
Undaunted
Not discouraged nor disheartened.
The sea captain was undaunted by the Bermuda Triangle. He sailed straight through it.
