what is a root word?
the foundation of most medical terms; they usually describe a part of the body that is involved.
what is a prefix?
usually but not always tells you the location, time, number, or status. ALWAYS comes at the beginning of a word.
what is a suffix?
usually but not always tells the procedure, condition, disorder, or disease. comes at the end of a word.
