When did the great Egyptian civilization begin?
8000 years ago they moved down to the fertile Nile Valley.
What happened after they moved to the Nile Valley?
They built a well organized society.
What do Archaeologists do?
Find about more about how people lived in the past.
How do archaeologists do this?
They study the remains of buildings and graves and tool ect.
How have we learnt about ancient Egypt?
From murals. They are painted on walls of buildings and writing on tombs.

What does the water cover?
A large flood plain and deposits black mud on the land.
What do the Egyptians call this the black mud.
Kemet which means black lands.
What happens to the soil left behind?
It is very fertile. And crops grew very well
What happened in time along the Nile?
Small farming towns developed.
