place definition
more than just a physical location, a place is a space given meaning(s) by people

the idea that a place ‘could be anywhere’ due to percieved lack of uniqueness (eg. service station, airports, suberbs etc)
tourist gaze definition
organised by business entreprenuers and governments that is consumed by the public
locale definition
each place is made up of a series of locales or setting where everyday life activities take place (eg church)
sense of place (place meaning) defintion
the subjective (personal) and emotional attachtment to the place
loaclism definition
an affection for or emotional ownership of a particular place
regionalism definition
consiousness of and loyalty to a district region with a population that shares simularities (eg southener or nothener)
nationalism defintion
lotalty and devotion to a nation which creates a sense of national consciousness patriotism could be considered as a sense of place (eg flag, national anthem etc)
