What did RAP consist do? First stage.
A
- Located within 200m of the frontline.
- Consisted of regimental medical officers.
- Purpose of RAP would be to give immediate first aid.
- Could not deal with serious injuries

What did Dressing Stations do? Second stage.
A
- Located in abandoned buildings
- Staffed by 10 medical officers
- from 1915, nurses were available
- to get to Dressing Stations, soldiers either had to walk or be escorted by stretch bearers.

What did CCs do? Third stage
A
- Located a sufficient distance away so they couldnt be bombed or attacked.
- The closest CCs to the frontline specialises in operating on the most critical injuries.
- Often set up in buildings or in schools.
- when soldiers arrived they were set up into a triage.

What was BH and what did it do? Fourth stage
A
- Base Hospitals - located near belgian/french coast
- Close to ports so men could be transported home.
- Wounds were not dealt with properly in here
- Seperated men by their injuries
