Taxes can make enviornmentally harmful objects be more expensive to use by taxing it. There is also the landfill tax Tat is imposed on the disposal of waste in landfill sites
How can the government use subsidies to protect the enviornment?
They can put subsidies on decreasing the price of manufacturing sustainable energy alternatives e.g Electric cars. or even a subsidy to build a plastic recycling station

The government can ban things that business do that damadge the enviornment. They can also ban industrial projects like banning coal plants instead of building more renewable sources of energy.

The government can fine things that people do to damdge the enviornment. e.g a fine on littering or driving a overly loud vehicle.
How can the government use pollution permits to protect the enviornment?
The government can set a limit of how much a firm can pollute in a year and can set fines if the firm break the limit
How can the government use park provisions to protect the enviornment?
Government can establish rules where business develipment and commercial ventures into national parks or nature illegal. This aims to keep the natural beauty of the place and not destroy it.
