Q

What do the lenght of the line and the direction of the arrow line represent in a vector?

A

Lenght is the magnitude of the vector drawn to scale.
The arrow head shows the direction of the vector

Q

How are parallel vectors added?

A

Two vectors acting on the same line and direction are just added together to find the resultant vector. The direction of the resultant will be the same but its magnitude greater.

Q

How are antiparallel vectors added?

A

Call one direction positive and one negative (assign positive and negative values) , then add them together to find the resultant. Magnitude and direction will depend on the magnitude of the two vectors
