To be called champagne, the grapes must come from the Champagne region of France.
American vintners call their wine “champagne” if they established their brand before March 2006 and include the geographic origin on the label.

Tend to be sweeter

Steps to brew beer
Grain mashed + add water = mash
Heat mash = wort
Wort filter + kettle + hops + boiled = hop wort
