Closeness Personal space: Intimate - 0-18" Personal - 18"-4' interpersonal communication Social - 4'-12' Public- near 12'
Chronemics
Time - culturally influenced - promptness - positive. Late - negative.
Artifacts
Accessories/material/clothing- tattoos, piercings and perfume - contextually driven
Vocalics/paralanguage
Tone, volume, how we emphasize certain words - people who speak clearly are more persuasive and influential. Speak slower - monotone - less persuasive. Clarity and pronunciation - positive
