Oppression may cause stress in relationship and lowered self-esteem
Psychological model
Porn abuse is a learned behavior and abuse is the choice of the perpetrator
Social psychological model
Primary focus is on the institution of the family
The sociopolitical context of homophobia create the environment that supports abuse
Internalized homophobia
Internalization of negative societal and environmental attitudes against the LGBT population
Criminal justice interventions
System is reactive rather than proactive. It reacts through police action on my court intervention when an act rises to the level of violating law

Figure double victimize Asian, accusations may be met with disbelief
Men fear of reporting
Expected to protect themselves, feel shame, fear disbelief.
