  3. Before consonants w/ Vocal Shewa, insep preps are spelled with Hireq [b/c of Rule of Shewa (4.12.1 -p.38)].
  4. In nouns w/ def. art., vowel and dag.forte of def. art. are retained but consonant of prep replaces ה of the def. art.

What happens when מִן is inseparable prep, in general and with gutturals?

A

In general:
The נ assimilates into the following consonant and appears as a Dag.Forte.

With gutturals:
The Dag.Forte is rejected by gutturals, resulting in either compensatory lengthening or virtual doubling.
