- Chronological framework that emphasizes the narrative qualities of a piece

- A series of events arranged to produce a definite sense of movement toward a specific goal

- A secondary plot within a piece of literature that accompanies the main plot yet is lesser in importance

- A plot development that violates the reader’s expectations

- The part of a story’s plot that introduces the reader to the setting, characters and situation

A
- The incident that sets the events of the conflict in motion

- The events that follow the inciting incident and lead up to the crisis in a story

A
- The major turning point for the main character; the point at which something happens that affects the outcome of the story & determines the future of the main character

- The point at which the plot reaches the moment of highest emotional intensity

- The events that unfold the results of the crisis and lead up to the conclusion

- The order in which events actually occur in a story

- A reference to events that occurred before the action of the main story or to action that occurred before the time that the narrator is speaking

- Identical sounds in the last stressed vowel & all of the sounds following that vowel in 2 or more sounds
