loss of peristalsis with resulting obstruction of the intestines

telescoping of the intestines
irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
group of GI symptoms associated with stress and tension
ulcerative colitis
chronic inflammation of the colon with the presence of ulcers
volvulus
twisting of the intestine on itself
cholelithiasis
gallstones in the gallbladder

female, fertile, fat, fair skin
cirrhosis
chronic degenerative disease of the liver
pancreatic cancer
malignant tumor of the pancreas
- pancreatoduodenectomy (Whipple procedure) remove duodenum + pancreas
pancreatitis
inflammation of the pancreas
viral hepatitis
inflammation of the liver caused by a virus
- Hep A: contaminated food or water
- Hep B: blood transfusion, sex, etc severe infection
- Hep C: can progress to chronic hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma
