click transform tool then click and drag anywhere on art-board
double click the transform tool

free transform
applies an eight handled bounding box to a selected image
transform panel
panel that is opened from window and it displays info about the size, orientation, and location of one or more selected objects
X and y coordinates
indicates objects horizontal (x) and vertical (y) locations on art-board
shear tool
hidden behind scale tool and allows you to slant/angle
concentric
refers to objects that share the same center point
outline stroke command
converts a stroked path into a closed path that is the same width as the original stroked path
compound shape
two or more paths that combine in a way that holes appear wherever paths overlap
pathfinders
group of preset operations that help you combine paths in a variety of ways
add to shape area
converts two or more overlapping objects into a single merged object
subtract from shape area
where objects overlap
intersect shape area
creates a single merged object from an area where two or more objects overlap
minus back
opposite of subtract, deletes the backmost object from the frontmost object
divide
divides an object into its component filled faces
