Describe what cooperative education is.
An arrangement in which schools partner with local business. Students perform jobs that use knowldge and skills learned in classes. The get class credit for working.
Describe an internship.
A short-term job or work project that usually requires formal commitment. Provides students opportunities to do actual work.
Describe job shadowing.
Follow worker for a few days on the job. Observe a worker on a regular workday while providing a sample of the real work done on the job.
Working conditions refers to what?
environment in which you work- outside/inside, alone or with others, work schedules, chance of injury
How are most job opportunities created?
creating new industries, existing workers retiring, shortage of skilled workers
