method of Mesoamerican agriculture which used small, rectangular areas of fertile arable land to grow crops on the shallow lake beds in the Valley of Mexico.

high honors as mothers of warriors played no public role. Role to bear children.
How did the Mexica adapt to the culture of central Mexico?
they spoke the nahuatl language and adopted the culture
Where did most honors and rewards go to in Aztec society?
military elites
How did the Aztec view Human Sacrifice?
viewed it as essential to world survival. Most Aztec human sacrifices were in honor of Huitzilopochtli.
How did the Inca impose order on those they ruled over?
The Incas did not wish to impose their rule through force, partly because it would be inefficient to place a large military force in each region. Instead, they often gave gifts and privileges to the local leaders of the regions they conquered
