Clergy
Provide spiritual care to the client (i.e. priests, pastors, rabbis)
Registered Dietician
Assess, plan for, & educate the client regarding nutritional needs
Laboratory Technician
Obtains specimens of the client’s body fluids & perform necessary diagnostic tests
Occupational Therapist
Assess & plan for the client to regain ADL skills, especially motor skills of upper extremities
Pharmacist
Provide & monitor meds for the client as prescribed by the provider
Physical Therapist
Assess & plan for the client to increase musculoskeletal function, especially the lower extremities, to maintain mobility
Provider
Assess, diagnose, & treat the client for dz and/or injury
Radiological Technologists
Position the client & perform x-rays & other imaging procedures for providers to review for dx of disorders of various body parts
Respiratory Therapist
Evaluate respiratory status & provide prescribed respiratory treatments including oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, inhalation therapy, & artificial mechanical ventilation
Social Worker
Work with the client & client’s family by coordinating inpatient & community resources to meet psychosocial & environmental needs necessary for recovery and/or discharge
Speech Therapist
Evaluate & make recommendations regarding the functions of speech, language, & swallowing impacted by various client disorders or injuries
Registered Nurse (RN)
- Function legally under state nurse practice acts
- Perform assessments; establish nursing dx, goals & interventions; conduct ongoing client evaluations
- Help develop interdisciplinary plans for client care
- Share appropriate info with team; initiate referrals for client assistance; & ID community resources
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Work under supervision of RN
- Collaborate w/in nursing process, coordinate client plan of care, consult with team, & recognize need for referrals
- Possess technical knowledge/skills
- Participate in delivery of nursing care
Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) (i.e. CNAs, CMAs, phlebotomists, etc.)
- Work under direct supervision of RN or LPN
- Specific tasks outlined in position description (i.e. feeding clients, lifting, basic care, measuring & recording VS, ambulating clients)
Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)
- Have great deal of autonomy
- Possess minimum of masters degree in nursing/related field, advanced education in pharmacology & physical assessment, & certification in specialized area of practice
