Bandura
Focused on how individuals learn to behave in social situations
Contagious behavior
A more or less reflexive behavior triggered by the occurrence of that same behavior individual

Woman in 1518 danced non stop and those around her eventually joined in
Stimulus enhancement
The probability of a behavior is changed because an individuals attention is drawn to a specific item/location
Observational learning
Learning by observing events or behaviors and the consequences
Attention processes
Imitation requires attending to the sources of behavior
Retention process
Observational learning requires that we remember what we observed and the outcome for the observed behavior
Motor reproduction process
An individual must process the necessary motor skills to emit action
Motivational process
The acquisition of a new response does not necessarily mean that the response will be preformed
Variables affecting learning
Difficulty, skill lvl of model, characteristics of model,
Vicarious emotional responses
Classically conditioned emotional responses resulting from seeing the emotional response exhibited by someone else
Vicarious reinforcement
Consequences of a models behavior that strengthen the observers tendency to behave in a similar way
Vicarious punishment
Consequences of a models behavior that weaken the observers tendency to bahve in a similar way
Violence and media
Increase of violence through tv, and social media
Gender roles
Children begin to acquire particular understanding of masculinity and femininity through observation
