social stigma
refers to the experience of being socially discredited or flawed by a personal trait or characteristic.

a stigma that is indirectly experienced based on one’s association with a stigmatized individual.

the idea that stigmatized people should want to reduce or at least understand by taking others’ perspective on themselves.
stereotype threat
refers to the doubts that arise in one’s mind about one’s own competence and worthiness when faced with others’ negative beliefs about one’s character and ability.
