What was Solomon’s greatest achievement.
Although Solmon accomplished many achievements, there is one in particular which really caught everyone’s eye. His greatest achievement was the Temple in Jerusalem. Solomon also built on the trade ties and formed new trade alliances
What happened to Israel after Solomon’s death?
After Solomon’s death his son became the new ruler of Israel. His son had not agreed to a proposal, so the Northern tribes had rebelled against Israel. Soon after all the fighting, Israel split up into two sections. North and South. These two kingdoms have existed for about 2 centuries, in this time period, Jerusalem was the important center of worship.
What was life like under Babylonian captivity? What did the Babylonians call the israelites?
The Exiles from Judah spend about 50 years in Babylonian Captivity, throughout this time that Israelites became known as the Jews. The Jews really tried hard to keep their identity, they continue to observe religion.
How did Jews preserve their identity as a people after the Diaspora?
The Jews were still faithful to their religious beliefs; they continued to practice the biblical concepts of righteousness and justice. Rabbi’s also tried to make sure that the Jews wouldn’t lose their identity. Wherever they settled they would build a synagogue, the people gather to hear them talk about the Torah. Rabbi’s helped keep the religion alive.
