1-A person should be able to be free and act as they choose

Individualism
A commitment to personal initiative and self sufficiency
Equality
People Equal in their moral worth so equal treatment under law
True Equality
It is impossible to archive but it does not mean injustice
Self Government
The principle that people are the ultimate source of governing authority and should have a voice in their government
Majoritarianism
When political leaders respond to the policy desires of the majority
Pluralism
In most issues the preference of the special interest largely determines what the government does
Authority
Recognized the right of officials to exercise power
EX- Members of Congress, Judges, Bureaucrats, President
Consitutionalism
The idea that there are lawful restrictions on goverments power
Legal Action
The use of courts as a means of asserting rights and interest how ordinary people exercise power
Coperate power
The influence of business firm on public policy
Elitism
Power exercised by well positioned and highly influential individuals
Politics
The means by which society settles its conflicts and allocates the resulting benefits and cost
Power
The ability of a person, group or institution to influence political development
