Paleolithic
A period in human history when early humans developed stone tools and other artifacts
Neolithic
A time when humans began to settle down and domesticate animals and plants
Megalith
A large stone that has been used to construct a prehistoric structure or monument
Post and Lintel
A basic building technique that uses vertical posts to support horizontal lintels
Bust
A sculpture of a person’s head, shoulders, and chest
Register
A horizontal band in a work of art that contains decorative or narrative imagery
Votive

A type of ancient Egyptian tomb in the form of a flat-roofed, rectangular structure with inward sloping sides

A small, sealed chamber in an ancient Egyptian tomb that holds a statue of a deceased person
