How do you perform a shift from known point (KP) mission?
- Determine known point (KP) distance from FO (OT line)
- Determine angular deviation in mils from KP to Target
- Use worm formula to find lateral shift (rounded to nearest 10M) between KP and Target
- Estimate range to nearest 100M
How do you perform a polar plot mission?
- Determine direction of target in mils
- Estimate distance to Target in 100M increments
- Determine vertical shift only report shift if greater than 35M difference. If greater round to nearest 5M increment
How do you find corrections?
- Locate where round lands
- Determine how many mils laterally round missed target in mils
- Use OT Factor x # of mils round missed target to give you your correction in meters (no correction if less than 30M)
Ex: round lands 50 mils right of target, OT line is 1800M. 50 x 2 (OT factor) = 100M left
