A computer intended for personal use.
What is a Laptop/Tablet PC?

A small sized computer; Easily connects to mobile phones and can prove a good solution for less demanding users.
What is a Mobile Phone?
A portable electronic device used for distant communication.
What is a smartphone?
A device that combines all the functionalities of a phone, PDA, camera, camcorder, and computer.
What do smartphones need to properly operate?
Operating systems.
What is a Computer Case?
Protects the internal components of a computer from external particles.
What is a Motherboard?
The computer’s basic unit; Where all computer components are connected, directly or indirectly.
What is a Central Processing Unit (CPU)?
The brain of the computer; Manages and monitors other computer’s communication and performs arithmetic-logical operations.
What is Processing Speed measured in?
Hertz
What is Cache?
Small capacity memory which allows quick access to data.
What is ROM (Read Only Memory)?
A type of permanent, internal memory that is used solely for reading.
What is RAM (Random Access Memory)?
An active memory where analyzed data and programs are stored while the computer runs.
What happens to the data in ram when the computer shuts down?
Data is deleted.
