Q
What tracts pass through the ICP (restiform body)?
A
Afferents:
- Post. or dorsal spinocerebellar t. (Flechsig’s t.)
- Cuneocerebellar t.
- Vestibulocerebellar t.
- Olivocerebellar t. - decussation
- Reticulocerebellar t.
- Trigeminocerebellar t. or nucleocerebellar t. - crossed and uncrossed
- Arcuatocerebellar t.
- Rostral spinocerebellar t.
Efferents:
- Cerebellovestibular t. (cerebellofugal fibers)
- Cerebellospinal t.
- Cerebello-olivary t.
- Cerebelloreticular t.
2
Q
What tracts pass through the MCP (brachium pontis)?
A
Afferent:
Temporopontine t. (Türck’s bundle) and frontopontine t. (Arnold’s bundle) terminate in the pontine nuclei (1st order neurons)
- Pontocerebellar t. or corticopontocerebellar t. (2nd order neurons) - decussation
3
Q
What tracts pass through the SCP (brachium conjunctivum)?
A
Afferents:
- Ant. or ventral spinocerebellar t. (Gower’s t.) (the only afferent bundle entering SCP) - 2 times decussation (ipsilateral)
- Tectocerebellar t. (not sure)
Efferents:
- Cerebellothalamic t. - decussation
- Dentatorubral t. or cerebellorubral t. - decussation
- Cerebellotegmental t. - decussation
- Cerebelloreticular t. - decussation
- Then reticulospinal t.
- Cerebello-olivary t. (not sure)
- Cerebellovestibular t. (not sure)
