Q

What 4 features do plant and animal cells share

A

Nucleus- control centre of the Cell contains the DNA
Cell membrane- holds cell together and controls what enters and leaves cell
Cytoplasm- gel like substance where chemical reactions occur

Q

Describe a bacterial cell

A

It has no nucleus but chromosomal DNA where all information is stored and activities carried out. It has a flagellum which propels the cell forward to move, it has a cell wall to support the cell and plasmids which are extra DNA.

Q

Describe the difference between the 2 microscopes

A

Light microscopes don’t allow us to see much detail just things like mitochondria and nuclei where as electron microscopes allow us to see more detail like the plasmids and inside of the mitochondria
