Q

Louis Pasteur(THIS IS THE GUY AND EXPERIMENT THE IB WANTS)

A
  • Found that “all cells come from other cells”
  • Disproved spontaneous generation
  • Had broth with an open lid for dust particles to enter; organisms grew in broth
  • Broth with filters/openings built so that dust particles could not enter; nothing grew
  • Needed outside interference to let bacteria grow inside; bacteria was brought in via dust particles, not spontaneously generated
