what is cell theory ?

A

1838 , Matthias schleiden , a German botanist examined all plants are made up of diff kind of cells which later make tissues .

about same time , Theodor schwaan British zoologist , reported about the presence of plasma membrane and unique feature of cell wall in plants .

acc to them animals and plants are made up of cell and their products .

who was Rudolf Virchow and what was his contribution ?

A

IN 1855 , as it was yet not known about how cells are formed so he helped modify the cell theory and told new cells are formed from pre existing ones I.e. OMNIS CELLULA -E CELLULA .
