- Simple tissue (e.g. muscular tissue)
- Complex tissue contains more than one kind of tissue, all working together to perform a specific function (e.g. blood tissue –RBC & WBC)

Consists of more than one kind of tissue, all working together to perform a specific function (e.g. stomach, leaf)
