A

they develop different sub cellular structures to enable them to carry out certain functions (they become specialised)

What is the difference in plant and animal cells in regards to the ability for cells to differentiate as the organism develops?

A

. in most animal cells the ability to differentiate is then lost at an early stage after they become specialised but lots of plant cells don’t ever lose this ability
