16
Q

Explain missing tool control procedures from start to finish.

A

Notify supervisor/maint control, maint will notify all shops and MO. Mag initiates. Missing tool report initiated. Flight ops stopped. QA conducts investigation. QAO recommendations. MO releases A/C

17
Q

What is your responsibility as a CDI with respected to FOD prevention?

A

Accounting for tools and cleaning up of work area when finished.

18
Q

Explain FOD fastener missing procedures

A

Maintain a database of missing fasteners to include A/C bonos and modex, location of fastener and MCN/JCN. Whenever a trend is noticed, investigate the cause and provide corrective action recommendations to the program manager.

19
Q

Besides IETMs, what pub series do we use to identify and correct corrosion discrepancies?

A

-509 series

20
Q

Who can initiate corrosion prevention discrepancies?

A

Pilot, aircrew or maintenance personnel

21
Q

What is the minimum amount of elapsed maintenance time that should be documented on corrosion MAFs? What publication?

A

1/2 hour

22
Q

What is the difference between corrosion prevention and treatment?

A

Prevention - corrosion is not present

Treatment - corrosion is present

23
Q

Where can you find a list of maintenance MAF documentation codes?

A

Appendix E

24
Q

What is an EOC code, what document has a complete list of P-8A EOC codes?

A

Equipment operability code, MESM - mission essential subsystem matrix

25
Q

Who is responsible for assigning EOC codes to MAFs?

A

Maintenance control

26
Q

What is a hardware/software matrix? What is its purpose and where is the most current copy located?

A

List of hardware and software part numbers and which buno’s they’re applicable to. Naval data distribution system, NDDS

27
Q

What document has a complete list of P8A conditional/scheduled inspections and high time components?

A

Periodic maintenance information cards, PMIC

28
Q

Explain how to view a list of upcoming special/conditional inspections and high time items.

A

Run a special/conditional report in OOMA; MMP

29
Q

Explain the documentation process for ordering and replacing parts

A

Ensure correct WUC is used, MAF is 23R
Place part on order, remove block is filled and IP is completed
Generate turn in document
Fill out install block in OOMA when part arrives
Sign off maf after 4.0 op check

30
Q

What is the process for removing and replacing high time components?

A

23R MAF is cut for high times

31
Q

What documentation/steps are required when cannibalizing parts?

A

Cann maf is initiated by maint control

32
Q

When a CDI is performing an inspection and a discrepancy is discovered, what MAF documentation codes are used to initiate a work order?

A

DM work order, when discovered R

33
Q

What manual or instruction do we use for safety related program data? What is the difference between pubs?

A

Navy occupational safety and health (NAVOSH), 5100.19 and 5100.3

34
Q

What are NAMPSOPS and how do they relate to CDI responsibilities?

A

Naval aviation maintenance program standard operation procedures
They outline responsibilities and requirements for specific programs

35
Q

What are HMRs, PQDRs, EIs, and TPDRs? How are they reported?

A

Hazardous material report, parts quality discrepancy report, engineering investigation, and technical publication discrepancy reports

JDRS, joint discrepancy reporting system

36
Q

What are the QA managed programs?

A
NAMP compliance auditing
Namdrp, naval aviation maintenance discrepancy reporting program
