cdell Flashcards
Cyctoplasm
Provides a platform for the other organelles to operate within the cell
Nucleus
Stores the cell’s DNA and keeps up the cell’s stability
Plasma Membrane
Balances the transport of materials entering and exiting the cell
Ribosomes
It helps to create proteins for the rest of the cell
Cyctoskeleton
It helps the cell maintain it’s structure and helps the organelles carry out their functions
Endoplasmic Reticulum
Produces proteins for the rest of the cell to function
Golgi Apparatus
Proteins received from the Endoplasmic Reticulum are processed and moved to other places in the cell.
Mitochondria
the powerhouse of the cell. It generates most of the energy needed for the cell’s biochemical reactions
Phospholipid Bi-Layer
A barrier that lets molecules and ions in and out of the cell
Vacuole
Takes in and throws out waste products (also stores water)
Vesicles
wraps around large molecules and carries it around
