What is Church & Community Transformation?
CCT helps the local church to meet the needs of the local community.
What are the two ways in which the local church meets the needs of its local community?
The local church can serve the local community through service provision e.g. shelter in a disaster, or medical care, or care for orphans etc. and through empowerment e.g. self-help groups, preventative training (child protection, domestic violence, & health).
To date, how many churches across 36 countries have been mobilised to transform their communities?
To date, more than 14,468 churches have been mobilised to transform their communities.
Why use the local church to bring transformation to a community?
The church is uniquely placed to bring complete and lasting transformation through a holistic strategy which meets people’s social, environmental, spiritual, and emotional needs.
In 2001, in which country was CCT first run?
This new approach was piloted in Tanzania by the Diocese of Mara.

A nursery and a primary school were created.

CM is about mobilising the local church and/or denominations to respond to the needs of their community.

CCM is the process where the local church works with its local community to identify and respond to their needs together.
