Tools for cognition assessment
Driving, alarms, meds, nutrition, falls, incontinence, ACD, sensory, cognition, osteoporosis, services (75+, ACAS).
MMSE, MOCA, GPCOG, GDS.
ATSI cultural sensitivity and consult skills
Display flag/artwork/acknowledgement; identify patients; register for PIP +CTG; educate staff. Written resources, extra time, interpreter if required, consider social determinants of health.
3 aspects of an opioid overuse consult
Explain pain vs chronic pain. Assess level with PEG (pain per week, interference w enjoyment, and general activity). Check for withdrawal, stockpile and extra use.

Confirm diagnosis, check ddx (mania, psychosis), check organic causes. Assess risk/suicide. Review sleep, exercise, diet. Review drugs, alcohol.

Sleep, exercise, diet, social connection, activity scheduling (behavioural activation), online tools, crisis lines.

Home (relationships, violence), Education, employment, eating, exercise. Activities: sport, technology. Drugs + alcohol. Sex + gender. Suicide, depression, self harm.
