Q
what is the evaluation for CBTp
A
- time consuming, takes 16 sessions. Some patients do not make it through the full session and drop out. This also makes it an expensive treatment and strains the NHS lowering the availability of the treatment. Furthermore, have to have a trained therapist, again expense and lack of availability.
- not appropriate for some patients who severely ill with he disorder as they cannot cooperate with a therapist and so have to be on drug treatments before.
- real world application, it has work on many but not all. has been found to work best in combination of drug treatment (diathesis stress model)
