the rate in which the energy stored in your food is transferred by all reactions in your body to keep you alive
it has to be measured when the body is at rest, in a warm room after the person has fasted for at least 12 hours
which hormone stimulates the production of hormones from the thyroid and where is it secreted from?
TSH from the hypothalamus after being stimulated by the pituitary gland
