What did Eris do to start an argument at the party?
She gave a golden apple to Hermes who put it in front of the goddesses. The phrase “for the most beautiful” was engraved on it to start and argument between the goddesses.

Since she was already married, he went to Sparta to steal her from Menelaus, which sparked a 10 year Trojan War

The Trojan War lasted 10 years before the Greeks defeated the Trojans

If he grows up and fights in wars, he will achieve great glory, but will die young
What did Thetis do to protect him from his fate?
She dipped Achilles head-first in the dark waters of The River Styx. Wherever the water touched him, that body part would be invulnerable. The only place it didn’t touch was his heel because that’s where his mother was holding him from.
What did Peleus do after hearing that Thetis dipped him in the River Styx?
He banished Thetis and took Achilles to the mountains, where he learnt the art of war.

Stubborn - he didn’t fight with his troops because of an argument with Agamemnon, after he took his slave-girl, even though he was the strongest out of all his troops
Arrogant - instead of taking Hector’s body back - after killing him - for a proper burial, he dragged him along the ground after killing
A good friend - he was completely distraught after hearing of the death of his cousin, Patroclus
What was Hector like as a Trojan hero? Give 4 reasons.
Cared a lot for his family and people - he didn’t leave them alone on the battlefield.
He was respectful - allowed for Patroclus’ body to be give back for funeral rights.
Another reason for why he was respectful - although Achilles refused, he did offer funeral right to Achilles if he was defeated.
Brave - he fought and defeated Patroclus, thinking it was Achilles.
Another reason for why he was brave - although he was scared at first, he built the courage to face the fiercest warrior of his time.
