-In May of 1832 Bradburn arrested William Travis and Patrick Jack for interfering with his efforts to enforce the tax laws
-The Texans held Bradburn’s soldiers hostage, demanding Travis and Jack release - Bradburn refused and fired on the town

-The Texans pledged their loyalty to Mexico
- The Texans protested the rebellion

-During the conflict of Anahuac, some men left to find a cannon.
-They reached the town of Velasco and the Mexican army wouldn’t let them pass which resulted in the Battle

The Mexican army soon ran out of ammunition and surrendered to the Texas colonists
