Navigation Act
The colonies could only ship raw materials on English ships and buy goods that came off of English ships

Sugar act
Passed on April 5, 1764 without colonist consent
The British raised tariffs (tax) on sugar colonist saw it as
taxation without representation
The money was going to England instead of the colonies
Stamp act
Passed in November, 1765
Imposed taxes on all legal documents
Marriage iciness, newspaper, property deeds, playing cards, contracts, etc.
Pay the tax to receive a stamp/British seal on those important documents
Because of this Act, a group was formed; sons of liberty
Tea Act
Passed on May 10, 1773
Allow the British East Indian Company to sell tea to the colonies without the usual colonial tax
It granted a monopoly on the trade in America to the East Indian Tea Company
The colonist had to buy the tea from that company
This act led to a widespread boycotts of tea throughout the colonies
Quartering act
First occurring on march 24, 1776
Forcing colonist to provide housing and food for British troops
The soilders would not need to pay for anything you use
