Procedure

A

All tests sent out by post one month before study began.
PP’s completed hassles rating scale for 9 months.
After 10 months completed life events rating scale.
PP’s then completed HSCL and Bradburn Morale scale every month for a further 9 months.

Results:

A

Hassles consistent from month to month.
Life events for men correlated positively with hassles and negatively with uplifts.
For women, the more life events they reported the more hassles and uplifts they recorded.
