What is the Four Humours Theory?
Belief that illness stuck when the balance between the humours were unbalanced. They were Blood, Phlegm, Black Bile and Yellow.
What was Miasma?
Disease was caused or carried by foul smells and harmful fumes - based on that people unhygienic envirionments would get ill
Disease spread faster in summer
What is the spontaneous generation theory?
Rotting material CAUSED maggots, flies and disease
