Because he makes Brick seem vulnerable and easy to understand. They make use of it by taking his clutch so he’s stuck and so that he listens to them and does what they want him to do.

Big Daddy’s relationship with his two sons are very different. Gooper is the older one and was never good enough. Big Daddy finds his wife and 5 kids very annoying and doesn’t really like them. Brick is the one and only, but doesn’t really have that good relationship with his father either. When their talking Big Daddy always talks and Brick listens. Maybe that’s why Big Daddy loves Brick more than Gooper, because he listens.
The Mediterranean/North Africa comes up in the play. In what context? What is the importance of introducing this topic in the play?

He has started to think about who gets his father’s property before he is even dead. Big Mama is like Big Daddy and loves Brick more. She thinks it’s to early to think about who gets the land but if it was to be anyone it should be Brick.

Big Daddy takes it pretty well and isn’t that surprised. It seemed to me that Brick was more homophonic than Big Daddy.
