Rotates the head when the clavicle is held stationary; moves the clavicle cranially when the head is held stationary

Depression of the mandible
Sternomastoid
When contracted simultaneously, they flex the head; individual contractions rotate the head
Clavotrapezius
Forward extension of the humerus
Clavobrachialis (Clavodeltoid)
Flexes the forearm, or antebrachium
Spinodeltoid
Flexes and rotates the humerus
Acromiotrapezius
Adducts the scapula
Spinotrapezius
Pulls the scapula caudally
Latissimus dorsi
Pulls the forelimb dorsocaudally
Pectoralis major
Adduction of the forelimb
Pectoralis minor
Adduction of the forelimb
Pectoantebrachialis
Adduction of the forelimb
Xiphihumeralis
Adduction of the forelimb
Supraspinatus
Protracts the humerus
Infraspinatus
Rotation of the humerus in a lateral direction
Triceps brachii - long head
Extension of the antebrachium
Triceps brachii - lateral head
Extension of the antebrachium
Biceps brachii
Flexion of the antebrachium; also supinates the manus and stabilizes the shoulder joint
Brachialis
Synergist with the biceps brachii to flex the antebrachium
Acromiodeltoid
Flexion and lateral rotation of the humerus
Levator scapulae ventralis
Pulls scapula in a cranial direction
