Slip casting

Used to manufacture ceramic products.

1. Slip Mixture is poured into a porous mould.
2. Slip thickens on surface as water is absorbed into plaster mould.
3. Remaining slip is drained.
4. Casting is removed from mould.

Casting food

Some food can be cast into shape using temperature and setting agents.
You can make your own food moulds using a vacuum former.
