Streber Case
Sold multivitamins, hair treatment products, medicine in Canada.
Capacity was not higher than 1/3 in any capacity. Marketing and production were in two separate locations.
The front desk people did not know the deals, sales, promotions, prices of the medicine/supplies.
Needed to be better at market penetration.
CEO had to break the news/inform key people of the results of their survey. He had to then initiate a change program.
ISSUE/symptoms: low sales, bad survey results
Marketing problem: Poor internal marketing communications, different departments did not think so highly of one another, poor accounting invoices, they didn’t listen to their customers.
First Green Bank
New type of bank, where green initiatives are important to them.
Issue was whether or not to give a loan to a guns manufacturer and if that fit with the bank’s mission/values/morals.
They had just paired up with a Global Alliance for Banking on Values group and the vice president merely asked in the loan meeting if they loan would be something they would be concerned about.
Ken LaRoe is CEO and successful bank planter/business man who told public he would invest in slash and burn companies if he had to.
Not a lot of time to make this decision/implement what needs to be done.
Need to do a missions test in the future and see if their mission withstands the test of time.
