How did you manage your role of both CA and QS?
A
- A separate appointment letter was signed by the client for the CA and QS roles, clearly setting out my responsibilities in each role
- On a progress meeting agenda I would ensure each job role had a sub-heading in which they could raise any concerns, as CA I would run and minute the meeting but as QS I made sure to raise any concerns under that heading to ensure QS and CA concerns were both addressed and I had the opportunity to fulfil both roles adequately

How did you interact with the client’s appointed PM?
A
- They would attend progress meetings and and site visits like any other professional consultant
- They would be copied into all email correspondence where necessary, including the issue of instructions and certificates
- I would have frequent phone calls with them also if something required a quicker response
