Long Distance
Calls made to numbers outside of your local calling area.
Access Recovery Fee (ARF)
An interstate fee that Cox Business assesses its customers that helps recover some revenues lost as a result of mandated FCC intercarrier compensation reductions. The fee is a monthly, flat-rated charge assessed to customers for each line, voice path or trunk that is active on the account. Cox may change the ARF rate from time to time by providing notice to the Customer. This charge is not a charge assessed by a government agency.
Network Interface Fee
The Network Interface Fee (NIF) applies only to business customers.
•The NIF is a flat rate monthly charge assessed to interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Customers for each line, voice path or trunk that is active on the account.
•It is to defray the cost of administration of interconnection services.
Toll Free
Toll Free Service lets your customers in the U.S. call you without paying long distance charges. You pay the same rate as your long distance service for the inbound call. The standard Toll Free Service plan is available if you add toll free numbers but don’t subscribe to an optional calling plan. Optional calling plans are available to lower this per-minute rate
Intrastate
Originating and terminating within the same state
Interstate
Originating in one state and terminating in a different state.
Switched Services
Telecom carrier service that provides a two point path from the customer’s facility to an end user offsite.
Billing Increments
All phone calls are billed in whole minute increments.
