• Jung’s biggest contribution to our field was personality types and his theory of personality.

Extroversion
A
- Finds meaning in external objects and relationships
- Libido, of driving energy, pushes the person to be near others and find meaning in life through relationships with other people

Introversion
A
- Need time alone to explore the inner self
- The libido, driving energy, is oriented toward a deeper understanding of himself and deep understanding of the internal lives of others
- Have few friends but they are close friends

Thinking
A
- Favors cognition, logic, and rational thinking
* Likes to understand all of the details of the options available and then will make a decision based on logic

Feeling
A
- Enjoys experiencing the ebb and flow of emotions and affect
- Joy, depression, desire, and satisfaction are the experimental playground for a feeling person

Sensation
A
- Favors sensing will believe only what they can see, touch, feel, taste, etc.
- Skeptical of things he cannot sense

Intuition
A
- Seeks to understand the missing or mysterious forces that one cannot actively perceive
- Good at picking up the subconscious cues such as body language, changes in voice tone, and less than obvious emotional meaning.
- Will trust their hunch more than their senses
