What is Asthma?

A chronic lung disease. It can be controlled but not cured. It is characterised by BOTH of the following:
- Excessive variation in lung function
- Respiratory symptoms (wheeze, SOB, cough, chest tightness)

A
Allergic asthma.

A
Non-allergic asthma.
Occurs secondary to respiratory infections, pollution, occupational exposure.
