Describe FIP. How do you diagnose FIP?
A
FIP is a coron virus, most common in younger vats less than 2 years but can be worldwIde. Fecal-oral spread, cold temp can preserve it for months. Wet (fluid in bidy cavities) and dry( inflammation of organs kike eyes, brain ,liver intestine) form Immunofluorescence staining for coronavirus in marcrophages in effusion fluid. (Highest PPV and relatively low NPV so negative result doesn’t rule out FIP
